Biofuel Insets: A Game-Changer

Switching to renewable fuel by directly purchasing biofuel for ships, rather than offsetting emissions through external projects, has proven to be a powerful way to create sustainable changes aligned with our core business. Our collaboration with a third party enables us to integrate this biofuel solution seamlessly into Nordicon’ s transport range, offering us and our customers a direct method to reduce CO2 emissions for a greener future.

Nordicon GreenwayZ: Now Accessible Across the Nordics via My Nordicon!

We are excited to announce that Nordicon GreenwayZ Insetting Solution is now available in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Norway – fully integrated into our customer portal, My Nordicon.

With just a few clicks, customers can reduce CO2 emissions from sea transport. Simply enter the ports, weight, and volume as usual, then select “Want to reduce your carbon footprint?” Choose the desired reduction level – 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% – and the cost will adjust accordingly. The ETS cost is reduced by the same percentage.

Annual Certificate for Your Achievements
When a booking includes a fuel switch, customers receive confirmation detailing the shipment, emissions, selected reduction percentage, and cost. At year-end, a third-party certificate will be issued, summarizing all biofuel bookings and the total CO2 reduction achieved.
